EMPLOYMENT, TRAINING AND FUNDING ASSISTANCE
One of the Whyalla Economic Development Board's key strategic areas is the "facilitation of training opportunities to promote employment, entrepreneurship and education".
WEDB has a Project Manager who can assist people and businesses with advice and development of targeted employment and education opportunities.
WEDB specifically assists in the delivery of the State Government's South Australia Works Program
South Australia Works focuses upon six priority areas:
- Regions of South Australia - Aboriginal People - Mature Age People - Young People - Maximising employment from industry and Government activity - Creating opportunities through the public sector
South Australia Works aims to provide new opportunities for the Government, industry and community to work together in creating and sustaining employment and skills in South Australia
WEDB continually liases with education and training providers, employment agencies and businesses in order to facilitate labour market solutions. If WEDB is unable to assist directly with your enquiry then we will certainly be able to direct you to the appropriate person and or business.
Further information on the South Australia Works program can be obtained from WEDB's Project Manager Karen Skinner on (08) 8645 7811 or by email karen@wedb.com.au
